Philadelphia Runner has coordinated a city-wide run Thursday night on Thursday night to honor those affected by the Boston Marathon tragedy. Bringing everyone in the community together for group runs is the best way for us to show support in a respectful manner.
SPS, Fishtown Beer Runners, West Philly Runners, Fairmount Running Co/ Fairmount Runners and Philadelphia Runner Center City are all taking part. The preliminary plan is to meet at 7 p.m. at various locations throughout the city and then run to meet at City Hall at 7:25 or so with the other groups. From there, we can run towards the Liberty Bell and then the FBR post-run bar (Khyber Pass Pub).
The South Philly meet-up spot is 7th and Bainbridge, where FBR has its South Philly start on Thursday nights. People are encouraged to wear blue and yellow (Boston Marathon colors). Â Additional details forthcoming.
