Tuesday, January 1, 2013, SPS will have its annual Mummers Day Parade run. The meet-up will be at 8:15 a.m. in front of the Mummers Museum at 2nd and Washington Street. The run will then go along Washington before heading down Broad Street to see the Mummers Parade setup and route. There may be some breakfast/brunch afterwards as well. It’s a fun run with many great sights and people watching.
Holiday Light Run – December 13
The Annual South Philly Striders/Fishtown Beer Runners Holiday Light Run takes place Thursday night, December 13, 2012. Last year, over 100 runners took part. You are encouraged to dress up in festive attire, with lights, bells, etc. Meeting place is Broad and Oregon. This year’s route is 3.5 miles, goes through the illuminated and decorated neighborhoods of South Philly, before ending at American Sardine Bar (18th and Federal).
